The Farlands Beta is designed to progressively introduce core mechanics, paving the way for the full release.

Below, you'll find our planned updates that will shape the Beta experience, laying the foundation for our open-world PVE full release. While these updates represent our vision, they are open to influence from our $FES holders and community, ensuring The Farlands evolves with player feedback and engagement.

Beta 0.1 - FOUNDATION UPDATE

The Foundation Update introduces The Farlands Beta, centered around Stonehearth, a bustling kingdom hub where players will gather and interact. This initial update sets the foundation for the game world, with a fully interactive server hub that gives players their first opportunity to connect, explore, and get a glimpse of what’s ahead.

Beta 0.2 - COMBAT & EXPLORATION UPDATE

The Combat & Exploration Update expands the game’s mechanics, introducing combat systems and seamless exploration tools. Players will be able to explore the full reach of Whisper’s End.

This update unlocks new regions on the map, setting the stage for the growing world of The Farlands and preparing players for their first challenges in the wilds.

Beta 0.3 - NPC UPDATE

The NPC Update breathes life into Whisper’s End, populating the kingdom with unique characters that enrich the world and offer stories, quests, and trade opportunities.

Players will see the cultural structure of Whisper’s End take shape as NPCs bring lore and history to the city, laying the groundwork for dynamic interactions and a vibrant, living world.

Beta 0.4 - SKILL TREE UPDATE

The Skilltree Update adds a game-changing mechanic: the ability to earn and develop skills through universal XP.

Players can unlock abilities tailored to each chapter of the game, culminating in a seasonal collectible skill that, once fully unlocked, can be minted as a limited-edition NFT tied to their profile.

This update introduces staking opportunities, allowing players to commit to Whisper’s End for in-game rewards and shared growth.

Beta 0.5 - PLAYER UPDATE

The Player Update introduces robust customization options, allowing players to craft and immortalise their character.

In addition to customization, this update offers a wearable collectibe for Beta players and early $FES holders ONLY.

Staking to the kingdom of Whisper’s End also becomes optional at this stage, giving players the opportunity to invest in the safety and prosperity of the kingdom while unlocking exclusive benefits.
